Q re: back of stack stereo system..red/white wires in & out!?
Have Proline stack system,with seperate cd player that joins it using 2wires/plugs @back.1red & 1white.OKso far?
These plug in2 back of system in holes marked cd aux + coloured red/white respectively.OK?
I have dazzle dvd recorder that has plug points for svideo,red,yellow+white plugs.
What I need 2know is:-
Can I take out the red/white plugs for the cd join on the stereo and put in the plugs I have with dvd recorder?
What I want 2do is turn my stack in2 a recording mode 4me 2 get tapes/vinyl onto cd/dvd/pc hard drive.
I know about the ION vinyl&cassette recorder,but its £99+ and I havent got that kind of money.
I know Id have to download the software I need + if any1 has ideas about that Id be grateful too.
Im an idiot when it comes 2this,so your answers r invalluable+I thank u 4that!

For the software get youself a copy of Audacity, a free download from http://audacity.sourceforge.net. With it you can record PC line in and internet streamed audio and even edit out the bits you don't want.
I dont think the Dazzle will help. It will not record without a video signal, at least mine doesnt, but more importantly it is difficult to split the audio off and save it as a separate file. Any reasonable modern computer has a sound card built in, usually a blue 3.5mm socket. You need a cable like the one in the link, red and white at the CD player end. Set the recording level low and edge it up so you get reasonable levels but do not hit peak. You can do the same kind of thing with a headphone output from an MP3 player/boom box/TV etc with the right lead 3.5mm to 3.5mm or 1/4 inch hp socket.
