Is anyone else appalled at how bad the VMA's were last night?
The host's jokes were bad, the set on the stage looked cheap (why the heck didn't paramore perform at the VMA venue or Paramount lots like everyone else???), the introduction was boring (with the exception of Rihanna), christina aguilera was lip-synching (was that even her, or just a body double??), britney spears dominated all of the awards (when other videos were clearly better, it seemed to me to just be an homage to britney since she was harassed at the VMA's last year).
i mean, what was the deal?? why could no one get their act together except the musical performers?? and why didn't they show the entirety of all the performances, like katy perry's?
I don't know who the hell that host was, but he can jump back across the "big pond" and stay there. Ugh. He was awful. I think a lot of the audience felt the same way. Whatever he does in the UK, I hope its not comedy because he sucks at it.
I liked most of the performances. I was disappointed that Christina Aguilera lip sync'd, but whatever. The other performances were OK. The ones that they actually televised anyway. lol I haven't really liked the VMA's in a few years. They need a new production crew or something because its just been a flop lately.
Definitely not sure why Britney won so many awards. I'm sure its because it makes for good television. She's making another comeback I guess. (How many is that now, like 3 or 4? How many "comebacks" can one person make?! lol). I was surprised that Tokio Hotel (or whoever) won best new artist. I've never even heard of them and they looked like a joke. Maybe I'm getting too old to pay attention to MTV.
