Does anyone out there have a Canon T2i with the magic lantern firmware?
I want to add the firmware but I'm skeptical because they say the firmware can damage your T2i and since it's not an official canon firmware it voids the current warranty. I would like to hear first have who has it and how it works after the firmware was added.
I forgot to mention that I use the camera primarily for video purposes. The firmware provided on screen VU meters and zebra stripes. Those two things by themselves makes the firmware more attractive, but I'm sure there are other options in the firmware.
I would believe all that you've said is true. Frankly I wouldn't do anything with the firmware - nothing.
Lots of horror stories about updates and such and then the camera won't work at all.
So what's the big deal? Do you not know how to operate the camera and you want fancy modes or something? Come on, learn to use the camera and do your editing in software.
I wouldn't mess with that firmware - it was installed by the factory for many good reasons.
