Is there like a universal canon lens hood that will work with my 18-55mm and my 55-250mm?
I have two lenses for my Canon EOS Rebel 450d/XSI: EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, and Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS, and i need lens hoods for them, but instead of buying 1 for each of them I was wondering if there was like a universal one that would work for both of them,
Lens hoods similar to the one you're looking for can be found on eBay, from reliable sources. Rather than have a specific compatibility to only certain lenses, these hoods actually have a 52mm, 62mm or 72mm mount, and screw on the front of any lens, much like a filter. They also allow you to remove/replace the lens cap with ease, and some of the hoods can even be reverse-mounted for compact storage.

Once again, these are only items that fit filter sizes of 52mm. If your lenses have larger filter sizes, just search for "----mm lens hood" on eBay and you're bound to get some results.
