My nephew brought home some tadpoles which are now becoming frogs. Im just curious as to what kind they are.?
They are native to Imperial county ca. and live in washes and canals. The most distinctive mark is a black stripe by the eyes. I built a huge pond to put them in but I want to build them an appropriate habitat, before I transfer them from the tank. Its taken about 2 months to turn into frogs. I've seen adults and they are only about 2-21/2 inches long. Maybe somebody knows?
It's could be a Baja California or Northern Pacific Tree frog. Both have a black slash across the eyes. Either way, a very small pond would do with some branches etc. for them to climb...
